We strive for the dHEDGE leaderboard is to be as non-gameable as possible. To that end, we just tweaked the Score calculation to take into account the historical change in total value of the pool when calculating the Sortino Ratio. Reminder, Sortino Ratio is the risk-adjusted performance. We think this most accurately measures a manager’s skill. Before this change it was possible to manage a very small pool, get a very high Sortino Ratio without skin-in-the-game, then boost the Score by deploying a lot of capital.
